Cool tank mate,has the aro or dats had a go at the gar at all?

How big is the rtg and gar?

Ive got an 18" rtg and im trying to grow my 8 3/4 " fl/spotted gar big enough to put in wth him and the 5" dat,whos a pain in the ass to the 8" geos in the tank,do you think he would be ok?

ei steve -- the rtg is about 14 inches, and the 2 gars are 11 and 9 inches. they all get along very well with the dats, though the rtg teases the dats and gars once in a while. ive never seen any of the 6 dats (averaging 7 inches) attack either of the 2 gars. hope this helps

The reason i asked was that when i had the dat in the 200ltr growout tank with the gar,when the gar went down to the bottom for food the dat would have a go at him so i put the dat in the big tank and now he has a go at the geos,and ive put an ornate in with the gar and now hes nipping at the gar
