Means a lot coming from you Gerry. I just bought a new macro lens but I can't use it until my 10 day shift is over. Can't wait to try it out.

I'm not sure how it'll work for fish pics but I read some reviews and everyone seemed to think was a decent lens for the price. Its a EF 50mm F/1.8 11 . I figured I'd give it a try before I spend $600+ on the one I want. I'm a little concerned about the speed of this one. I guess I shouldn't have bought the teak patio set the better half wanted. I could've bought the EF-S 60 mm 2.8 ( I think that's the what its called). I'm open to recommendations.

nice rtg bro..colour is already showing..juz gotta fatten it up a little more..the protuding jaw is a sign of malnorishment when it was young..juz feed it more protein based food and it will look awesome.

It should work well for you, but it won't be as sharp as the 60mm.

The root cause of protruding lower jaw is unknown but is likely genetic - just like some people and dogs etc have over/under-bites.
