Wow, that is a choice fish! What's the name of that variant? Correct me if I'm wrong, not all RTG's have those gorgeous blue scales?

Boydo, by "individual genetic trait" i mean differences between farms and their parent population, i don't think that makes any sense, but you know how Panda RTGs will look different than Xian Leng RTGs and they will look different from DFI RTGs. I hope that makes sense. By diet i mean that this guy doesn't refuse much of what i feed. Loves pellets, prawn, pork, squid... and i change water twice a week usually to keep water tip top.

Its tag date is March 2005 and its around 15" TL. Not the fastest growth, but this guy has been through 4 owners and been near death about two or three times (breathing on its side at the bottom of the tank). The previous fellow who had him tried to comm this guy (when he was about 10" TL) with an 18" super red. Well, it got beat pretty bad hence the not so show quality scales and deformed pectoral fins. Its been getting better, but still has a little to go before it'll look good again.

Opiate, it lives with 11 bichirs, a ctenopoma and a megalodoras uranoscopus
