RTG Vs Black/Blue - Will it end in tears?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
That is an amazing Cichlid in there! (Not the Pterophyllum) It's not a pearsei right?

Since arows are so expensive go and grab some bala sharks, tinfoil barbs, silver dollars, and what ever silver or long cheap fish you can find. Their attention needs to be redirected to other fish. Take the arows out, redecorate totally (not just one rock or piece of wood).

Make sure you get hella-fish. Confuse the hell out of the arows. Lots of fast moving silver fish will calm things down tremendously, not saying it will totally stop, because if your arows have reached that point of straight-hating each other the best thing would be is to seperate them. But if it is not there yet you still have a chance to work it out.;)

Good Luck.

p.s. the size of the tank matters too.

i whould take them out of the tank along with every other fish, re-do the decorations, add a big dumb fish like a big pangassius or any fish that they can be distracted with, maybe even another arowana, and stick them in all at the same time... this really will cool down your arowanas. i had to do this twice to put my 8 arowanas together ;) remember it should be at least 3, asians even say "it's one or five with arowanas".

good luck.

and here's my aro tank :D now it's diferent again.. will update soon ;)

well thats the solution get about 6 more aros...problem solved:)

gonna see how they go til the weekend then may have to go on a hunt for a silver to see how that works! Wouldn't really want to add more than 2 silvers so should i get 2 or does it work better in odd numbers anyone know anywhere if maidenhead in east grinstead has any as i'm going there on the weekend

given up. the rtg was really bullying the black tonight and pretty relentless so have had to move the rtg back to his old 4ft home and i guess he'll have to stay there til my new tank arrives next month. really hoped it would last for a while so i could sell the 4ft tank to part finance the new one but guess i'll have to keep it now til the new one is set up and running. shame as they looked great together.
