RTG vs HBRTG?

HBRTG is also a RTG. If you are willing to spend more $$ just to have some shine on the 5th row of the HBRTG, then buy the HBRTG. To me, a HBRTG is just a RTG.

Wow, no offense to anyone on here, but that really makes me wonder why anyone would spend so much money on the "higher grade" aros, when the "lower grade" aros are pretty much the same to anyone who hasn't been informed on the differences.

Because once you start keeping asian aros, you learn the difference and sometimes you yearn for a true gold bar.

I have a RTG and would love to have an X-back......I would save the money and get a RTG or go for broke and get a X-back. Since it takes the same amount of care..... it's hard to tell the quality until they get to about 10+ inches.

Owning both RTG and HBRTG I would go with the RTG. It's not worth the extra money, for the sake of possibly getting an extra row of gold shine. If it was an RTG or Xback, definitely Xback as they are stunning to view.

i think if you are going to keep only 1 get the best 1 you can afford. but if you are going comm. just get RTGs, cuz it more painful to see your SRs or XBs all beat up.
aros are tough fishes, as long as you just have a good lid on your tank you be ok.

I wouldn't pay extra for HBRTG, that's a ploy to earn more profit from you. They can not tell the difference when they are babies.

Ya I thought about this too. If I only kept 1 Asian Aro in a tank it'll be the best one I could get as it'll turn out to be my holy grail perfect Aro.

I thought about this one as well as I would like to start off with a cheaper Asian Aro as this will be my 1st Asian Aro.

its all preference, some like the HB look, some don't. same with SR's. I personally dont like red aro's as much as gold ones.
