There looking good Jason. Getting some size on the male......I would be to nervous that they would dig around that big rock a little to much.

Thank you very much i havent had alot of expirience with these guys or have had alot of them. but out of the 8 i ended up with she was definitely the nicest.

That is a great looking pair that you have. That male is pretty thick too!

Thank you, he eats like a pig! prolly 2-3 massivore pellets twice a day and some shrimp and talapia chunks at nite

Boy, they certainly keep the fry coming! They're both looking amazing, especially the female. I can see that the male is growing well too.

Nice work Jason they oook great! Wjat size tank are they in and do you have to seperate them ever? How is the males temperment?

Thank you Justin. I have them in a 75 right now and since i paired them out i havent had to use a divider at all. Ill see a fin or two torn once in a while but nothing serious and thats mostly due to pre-spawn behavior. The Male is and looks like a beast, he has more teeth than any Dovii that ive owned too lol. and as far as aggression... well i havent seen anything, the Male is more like a big teddy bear to his girl and kids. Both are really great parents, i mean this is the first pair ive owned that was able to coordinate two batches of fry and keep the larger ones from eating the smaller ones This pair is definitely here to stay!!

Thanks for the info! Would you consider a 120 gallon for the pair suitable long term (having first hand experience with a pair)?
