RTM pairing question

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have a similar situation going on as keystonewma. 5 young RTM in a 125gal. I 6in male, two 4in females and two 3-5in subdominant males. The females have divided the tank down the middle & the male spawns with both. The two subdominant males I left in for dither purposes and they are harassed constantly, to the point I feel badly for them haha. IMO if your looking to pair up the RTMs separate them or your tank will be chaos.

Mine paired young too - male was 4-4.5in and females around 2.5.

My Jags always paired right around 4" too. Do the Salvinis pose any threat from a pairing standpoint? I swear I read a few posts on here over the years that Salvinis paired with some of the Guapote Cichlids. Any input there?
