Rtm x umbee hybrids

So I noticed my male rtm and female umbee have started to pair off and I was wondering if anyone had heard of such a cross. Or does anyone have any pics of this kind of cross? They haven't laid eggs but have been chasing fish away from one side of my tank. Just wondering what the hybrids will end up looking like

I haven't heard of anything like that. If they do end up breeding, I wouldn't sell the fry. Keep one of the best for yourself and cull the rest. There are enough hybrid species already, as pretty as they may be we don't need them.

The eggs will not get fertilized. CA and SA cichlids can not produce fry together

Grammodes x parachromis or umbee? That face looks wayyyy to much like a parachromis

That sounds like an awesome cross. Ive been wanting a pair of grammodes because of their smaller size, but I bet these get bigger due to the umbee genes.

Maybe, my pal (more associate) was gonna give me some a few months back but he had a loss in his family...
Not bothering him much atm, should be very interesting.

Well that popped my bubble of some nice rtm/umbee hybrids. Yes I know the rule about hybrids. I keep all my hybrids or cull them. They are for my enjoyment only.

I just seen this post, I know it's old but thought I'd share that my Male umbee spawned with my female RTM and this was the result. I did not and would not sell them, just thought some of you may be interested
