whats the best way to cut circles in rubber please?as need to make some gakets up for some bulheads i`ve bought or failing that what else could i use as gaket s please?

Typically I'll find a sink gasket and use it They make a few different sizes for drains and such. Give it a shot. Otherwise, a razor blade is about your best bet.
 
or you can take pipe(thin wall is best) the right diameter and put it were you want it and smack w/ a hammer. kinda like a cookie cutter. thats how i make round gaskets, i shake way too bad to freehand anything.
 
sorted it now i hope cutting with a stanley knive (think you call them utility knives?
) seem to work ok but will see when i cut holes in my water barrel and it leaks every where LOL will let you know how i got on will try and put some pics as well
not sure how to do that though
 
Large o-rings can work in some cases, or, as NilePufferFanatic said, caulk. Put a bead of silicone around the bulkhead and then tighten it just enough so the silicone starts to squeeze out the edges. After it has cured tighten the nut on the bulkhead the rest of the way.
