I picked this tank up as a bit of a mess and have been trying to get it functional and to a point it will look good if it stops leaking. I was told the blue would clash with the room paint and had to go. The sides were also factory painted blue and razor blading it all off was a major PITA taking 2 dozen razor blades and several days.

It has been debated several times if rubberized bedliner is aquarium safe. I have read several accounts of its use in aquariums and rubberized my diy overflows in another tank several months ago. I wouldn't risk it on a reef tank, but it has been holding up well in my other freshwater tank. It gives a nice dull textured look tahd should work out well.

I will let it dry for a few more days and then give a test fill. If the tank holds a few washes and then some gunea pigs.

Looks nice but I'm pretty sure the guinea pigs will drown.

great idea. i hope it works. let us see the finished product, with fish and all...

So far I like it. Gives a nice dull textured look. I would be willing to do it again if the need arises.
