I needed to update this thread with a big fail before someone else tries. The liner cured hard and seemed to be doing fine, but after a few days submerged started peeling. I ended up razoring it all out
Win some lose some.
I do have a PVC overflow sprayed with it holding up fine several months now. The adhesion to plastic must work better than glass.
On to something else, the blue is glaringly horrible and has to go.
