I have a rubbernose pleco in with my jags and it's fine. The Jags never pay it any attention. I have been curious about the BN pleco though. My rubbernose kicks butt on the algea, it eats like no other creature I've ever seen.
i have kept both in equal sized tanks at the same time, while they where equally sized. the tanks where both spotless, the only dif seems to be appearance and the fact that the rubbernose/lip takes 2x as long to grow in my experiences with them. good luck either is awesome.

Rubbernose tend to be more aggressive with other bottom dwellers imo. Me I prefer an albino bushynose. Both will get around 6 inches.
