Yeah...don't quote me on it, but I would think if hoggies can fly in CA, any rear-fanged colubrids should be fine.

However, I'm cannot condone or condemn that you simply assume and get one of these snakes without confirming their legality.

Yeah, looks a bit like some species of skink, like a sandfish maybe. Cool snake

they are not listed as venomous in FL so i suppose that you can keep them most anywhere but you might want to check with your state first because i know that it can vary. also the fact that someone is free handling it probably means that it is not very toxic. maybe it has a similar venom to a ringneck or hognose snake...

And That is one weird looking snake.
 
these have been driving me nuts also,I will be getting one of these in not too long,they are supposed to be very alert and act a bit like a cobra without the bite.Anyone here ever keep them?????????
