I have 6 aquariums downstairs and i use the bucket method to empty and run the python connected to my sink upstairs to fill my tanks. My question has anyone connected a pump to assisted the water flow on a python. Thanks for ideas.

I do have a pump thats 575 gph i could attach perhaps a garden hose to it and run it outside and use the python to fill it up.

That's what I was going to suggest. It will drain the tanks quickly and then you can just fill with the python

if your downstairs leads outside just drain into the yard or whatever is outside. working against gravity isnt always fun

I have never seen a basement without any kind of drain at all... you have no floor drain or stack you can use? I have never seen a basement without access to water either...

Some basements are below the sewage and water pipes so they have no access to water or sewage but have a flood drain that leads outside. A family of members house down south is like this.

A good part of most cities are like that... that's why there are pumping stations all over the place... because the waterworks for the sewer co is not always the very lowest thing in the city area.

But, I learned something new that there are basements like that... is that in an unincorporated area?

Was going to suggest just seeing where the wash machine ties into for water and drain, but I guess you won't have those then either in the basement.

Although, if the basement is that low... do you have a sump pump? If so you could just dump into that.
