It is due to stress, it is something to look out for but as long as the problem has been rectified then there shouldnt be a problem. If you look back at some of Mike's black ray pix from his imports last year you will see quite a few, after a while they do go back to normal but it does take some time.
also search the forum for running spots and melting spots. i think there is a pic of a pearl also maybe a few others.
