Russisloud's reef tank (live rock in)

humm....i was thinking it seemed fast too. i'm going to wait it out a few days and see if it slows down. i have one hermit right now, but i just got him to have something to watch in the tank.
 
8-12-09 clean up crew started

6 - emerald crabs
1 - banded shrimp
5 - bumble bee snails
25 - creith snails
10 - nassarius vibex snails
10 - blue leg hermits
3 - mangrove shoots

i'll take some pictures later tonight after it gets dark
 
diatoms hit me as soon as i got my light... a turbo snail should help clean up

:confused: my tank temp is around 80, is it ok to float a frozen bottle of water to cool the tank? i know this sounds lame, but i just don't know.
 
Why do you want to cool the water down? Not sure on this, but I think that although 78 is ideal, 80 degrees will probably be ok. Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong though...my new future reef tank is stuck at a steady 81 degrees right now.
