S.American rainbow cichlids

Problemz, yours is a female? ANyone know if mine is a female? Im guessing it is.

Yeah my Rainbow is a little feisty but not very dangerous. It chases and trys to nip but I think its only playful gestures really. This fish and my Firemouth get playful with eachother. Both of them ignore the blue acara and he ignores them.
 
Wow some nice rainbows there. Haven't really seen any threads about rainbows so thought I'd share some pictures of mine. I believe it's a male, but let me know if it's not. Enjoy! :)

Only a guess. I'm finding it surprising i haven't tried to sex it yet lol /doh

yes yours is a female when an if you get a male,she will change colors more black and dark purple.....
 
Occasionally I see her get very dark. I think its because my firemouth is male, and they are kinda playful with eachother. I think the FM isnt sexually mature yet. I really dont want them to spawn though. Thinking if they do, whether to take the eggs out and destroy them or let them hatch and let my catfish go to town on the fry.
