S. Florida MFK trip?!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
haha alright sounds good. I ll talk to Chris to night and give you a definite answer asap. Where in the Gulf would you go collecting??? I am out here!

Crystal River just north of the nuke plant. The NOAA weather bouy says the water is 62 degrees though. I have a wet suit and dry suit, but I'm limited to my canoe so I have to travel light. There are some decent islands for camping.

Yeah I ve been there before, I kayaked out to three sisters from a free park near the other spring off the river. Its really neat place.

Crystal River is awesome, I was there during that real cold snap in mid December, the manatees were STACKED up in there then. Being that I live in the most extreme north west part of the state, its going to have to be a well planned trip for me to get down there. Plus dont think I can leave here during COBIA season!

Weekends are best for me...but I can make it work regardless.

:iagree::iagree:

Scoped out a few isolated locations with pairs of snakeheads...as soon as the temp warms up and they start breeding I plan to do some major fishing for baby channas. :naughty:

Probably going to hit up the 2 places I found with tons of pbass. The same place I caught all those pbass I posted up in the photo lounge. ;)

Not sure if this month would be good since it just started to warm up some....but if anyone is down to fish I'm down...BUT I don't want to tap the snake pits or the pbass ponds until late summer (July-August).

If anyone is down during that time frame I'll be more than happy to show them those spots. :popcorn:

We're supposed to be getting rain late today. As soon as the 'rain every other day' season gets here, breeding/fishing explodes :)

When you guys go for SH when it warms more count me in. I just know of the coconut creek/margate population ,coral springs has quite a few peacocks too.

Ive done the Coral Springs rounds for SH, and decent Pbass around. Should be some good fishing :)
