I don't get that, s2k sound like sports cars to me. 350zs are all winey sounding. s2k rev up to 9 rpms! that sh*t is loud

i absolutely love the sound of the 350z especially at red line and during down shift.

1. No, a coupe is a two-door. There are wagon-coupes. (Look up the 1956 Chevy Bel Air Nomad.) If you want to stick to sedan, throw in the S60R (0-60 5.4). Or, if you want to stick to the coupe, throw in the C30 T5. (0-60 6.2)

2. I see you have trouble understanding how cars are made, so let me go slow. Steel makes up the entire chasis/frame of the car. (Sigh, ok, since you are going to complain about not all cars being made from steel, and bring up Morgans, I'm referring to steel-frame cars here). Steel is what gives the car it's structural integrity. It also is what makes up the majority of the engine. Rubber tires is something all (to my knowledge) car manufacturers import. By importing crap, light-weight steel, you get a crappy, lightweight car, as well as an extremely weak engine. The problem isn't the importing of materials, though. This is where you missed my "lowest bidder" comment. The problem is importing the cheapest material you can, hence the low price tag on the jap cars.

2. Firstly, not all Jap cars are inexpensive. I wouldn't really call either the S2000, nor the 350Z or GT-R cheap cars.

I realize steel is the chassis of the car, i wasn't dropped on my head, i just don't get how the fact that there's no steel in Japan is even relevant? Many Japanese cars consistently do well in crash test ratings. Which, to me at least, would be a sign of decent manufacturing.

So if all Japanese cars use imported steel, that means they must all have weak engines? This also makes no sense. You know what a Nissan GT-R is? They have somewhere around 480 hp from a V6. I don't know anyone who would call that weak... It's a Japanese badged car though.

Honda just signed a deal that will supply Honda of America with ..gasp.. American Steel for some models! Is this cheap imported steel too? A lot of Hondas are made in America with American resources. Is American steel, which goes into your "American Muscle" (unless they use "cheap imported steel") not good enough?


I like Volvos just as much as i like Hondas, if i were an adult with a good job right now and had to pick a car, i'd go with the C30. But that's irrelevant.

The S2K sounds like any other typical 4 banger rice burner, they're nothing special. The Z actually sounds like it has some nutts behind it.

i agree. i dont get why people by different exhausts for Zs, they just ruin the sound.

1. I posted a bangin' car, that is within the price range of these cars. Sue me.

2. I'm done with this debate, it won't go anywhere. Every manufacture has there "show" cars. All the vette's, vipers, GT-40, NSX's, STI's, etc. don't mean jack. (At least, not in the context I was talking). It doesn't matter though. BTW, new American steel is just as crappy....
