excellent subject isolation and great capturing of color. what are you shooting with? what are your settings? how many flashes are you using and what are their locations? i'm new to dslr photography.

Keep trying. It will come eventually. I am still waiting for the big jag to yawn head on so I can hopefully get a pic of the gills.

Thanks. Cam is a Canon 450D, 18-55mm kit lens, Canon 430EX II flash with a Glanz trigger. Settings are in manual mode and pretty much stay the same now. Full manual mode, ISO 200, shutter speed 1/250th, f/11 for most shots and auto focus.

Congrats. I will be watching out for your pics. Half the fun is in the practice. The better shots are just a bonus.
