Im looking for a good, updated book that pertains to NW cichlids. Not just pictures but some text on rarer cichlids as well as common. I found these 2 books, almost all cichlid books are on Africans.
So if you have any suggestions please let me Know. Thanks

Ad Konning has an excellent book "Cichlids of Central America", full of diet, evolutionary theory and info and also pics, one of my favorites.

Yeah I have that Ad Konnings book too. Great info, tons of pics but it is from the late 80's or early 90's - at least the edition I have is. But with the scientific names being changed so often you really can still find this book good for quality pics for Id's and some info.

I have heard the Aqualog's are a great volume of books to have. They have the books split into series that cover catfish, plecos, cichlids, goldfish, etc. They are really cool books, and very informative.
