SA/CA Cichlid for my 55gal?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
yeah id recommnd some types of less agressive cichlids such as severums, festivums, or rainbows.

could a T bar work with scissortails?
I might move the danios after a while.

i wish i could tell ya im only familiar with sa/ca cichlids

shouldn´t be any problems. sajicas are not predatory like salvinis or JDs for example. and scissors are big enough to not be considered as food.

sajicas ( T-bars ) are from central america ;)

I'd not give a Severum nor Festivum a shot with zebra danio's. I tried it long ago with no success. Giant danio's much better for Severum and Festivum IME.

Rainbow may work much better but zebra danio's are pretty small, an aggressive Rainbow Cichlid, rare but not unthinkable could feed on zebra danios.

so keeping danios makes u monsterfishkeeper?

Its the state of mind that everything is possible that makes you a MFK:er. Not your current stock on fish, everyone has to start somewhere.

I also have a common plec.
some members have only bettas.

If I see any sajicas at my LFS, I'll put the danios into my 10gal until I can get a bigger tank.
