SA Lungfish in Big Tank with Big Fish? Is it Possible?

the will do fine with no loegs but the continous biting and nipping will stress the lung IMO..

they say that the south american variant cant tolerate tankmates, but in the end it's up to the temperemant of the fish itself..just my 2 cents
 
Don't do it! I have one that's about 30" that I put in an 820 with some emperors, doviis, pacus and a few others. After about 2 weeks he was torn up badly, and I had to move him to another tank. He's a wimp though.
 
I have not had any trouble keeping my 27" SA lungfish with bichirs, knifefish, and gars. I did however have problems with ctenopoma biting the lungfish's fins. Avoid plecostomus, the suck on lungfish. My SA lung has never made an attempt to eat anything but snails in my tank.
