So today I rolled into our local pet store with my goal of picking up some feeder goldfish and some crickets for my sisters reptiles and while I was there my buddy shows me this clown knife who looked all tore up so I asked him, "how much?" and he said $35, so I told him $20 and I ended walking out with this guy for $25

Looks pretty bad but it doesn't look anything that won't heal easy enough if the fish is left alone.

Wow poor ck. Hopfuly you can get him back to normal.

Wow...which LFS was this? I use to live in Salinas, CA. I forgot the name of the place, but was this Pet World (or something like that)? That CK is in pretty bad shape on the right side. Looks like it'll recover though...and will probably have scars. If it's the place I'm thinking of, the guy was pretty easy to haggle with...I got a TSNxRTC for $20 when he was selling it for $50, lol!

How big is it? If anything, the RTC can surprisingly eat it if it's small enough (thin fish can easily be swallowed by RTCs).

Pet fun and I guess some guy brought him in for one of the workers and the guy just gave it to the store an I picked him up

That's the place! 10" for $25 is good for retail. I once haggled the guy for a RTCxTSN that he was selling for $50 down to $20, lol! I was actually trying to get him down to $30-$40. He didn't know what it was or knew anything about it at the time. So I told him I'd give him $20 because if he didn't know anything about the fish, it would be a risk on my half and if he didn't know anything about the fish, how is he going to sell it for $50 with no information. Surprisingly, he agreed, lol!

He's about 10inches

It's safe with the RTC for now. The RTC can easily catch up in a couple of months in size and that's when you might have to worry about separating them. RTCs can swallow thin fish. I think there was a member here who lost his CK to a RTC that was almost the same size.
