Clown knife recipe, but the interesting part is this...

The fish being marketed as a royal clown knife, which has stripes instead of spots on its silvery body, is not suitable for this recipe. Apparently it has a higher bone count, and does not acquire the large size required.

poor knife!

Might try it if someone else cooked their fish, but not mine.

I would try it.... never know might be good....

So back on the topic of eating pet fish here.
I don't really like the idea behind the article of eating former pet fish because it throws out any responsibility of proper fish-keeping. If it's acceptable to eat a fish raised as a pet, then someone can raise a pacu in a 55 gal, because they'll just kill and eat their pet later on.
I realize many aquarium fish species are eaten in other parts of the world.

hmmm. . . I always wanna buy clowns when I see them, but I never know what I'll do when they get huge. This could be a plan. Hey, why not buy a dozen?

Maybe i am an old softie, but wouldnt you feel a bit funny eating something you raised??Dont you get attached to your pets??And what about the chemicals we use in our tanks, many say not for human cunsumption.
