Sad day - silver is gone

mine wans't that big, it had 10", raising since 4" for about 6 months.

sorry to hear your loss....what a bummer.
i lost 1 silver aro before the same way.......i even had weights on the tank cover but the bigger they get...the stronger they are!!!
i have stayed off silvers for that reason....can't do with the heartache!

Sorry for your loss.

I lost a baby Jar the same way.I had a lid but it was really old and calcium build up had rotted the vinyl stripping.The glass was real brittel as well from the calcium build up.A couple of pieces had broke just as I was about to get a new top that same week.So the Jar had a couple of area's were he could get out.I got a new top now though,and a new Jar.:)

its been some months now, and i still didn't find any aros, so I started a discus tank.
BUT, I don't give up on aros, one day I'll have another.
can jars jump as much as the silvers ?
