RIP to one of my pikes. Hanzo. I did everything I could. This is my first loss, since I have had fish. I am ever so sad.

The good note is, everyone else looks happy and healthy in the tank.

Blah...this really sucks. I know many of you have experienced losses in the dept before, but this is my first one...so I guess I am taking it a bit hard.

i am sorry for your loss... one thing is you never get used to losing them.. if it is your first or last.. and my sympathy to you.. we wish we could save them all..

Hi,sorry to hear of your loss.I actually go as far as placing the fish in a hand made casket and burying them on my Moms property which over looks a beautiful lake..I have two in my freezer now until spring comes,if it comes:{.I also collect pikes and love them as well.

sorry the hear that, its never easy! damn fishgirls your must really love your fish!!!! :)

Thank you guys :)

well..I did think about burrying him in my backyard...problem is the dogs will probably dig him up.

And the dogs provide plenty of fertilizer for my backyard already lol.

bummer what kind of pike was it

i would burry it deep i burryed my painted turtle ( R.I.P) over my fence which backs to open space and those damn coyotes dug him up :( burrys it around 2 feet min and put a large rock on top of it

That bites. I hate loosing fish, but loosing pikes is especially hard. You grow so fond of them, they become almost like your little babies. I'm sorry for ya. Chin up!! There are more pikes out there! :D

Thank you. Yeah, I grew very attached to mine. I still have the other one, Haku, and he is healthy and happy but the tank still feels a bit "empty" without Hanzo.

Man...the coyotes huh. That's bad. I am sorry that happened.

My pike...was a crencichla cincta, so I was told at the LFS. The pics online didn't really quite look like him or the other I have so, I am still a bit unclear. The pics I did find that looked like them, it would just say pike cichlid, no other name for them.
