Well, maybe its OVERFEED, catfish are easy to die in a way like this. Be careful when feeding. Correct me if I wrong...

I'm going to take a wild stab in the dark here, but maybe bloat? I know it's a catfish, and cats are notorious for stuffing themselves, but it's the only thing I could guess.

Don't know if you noticed but this all happened 4 years ago.

Cats usualy regurgitate what they cannot/have difficulty digesting.
