ive had the same problem on my glass 100. i cant figure out a way to remove it...

I went back to look at it and noticed a couple more, they are sticky feeling kinda like partially dried silicone. I was removing water stains when I found these, I am baffled at what they could be. Do you think that maybe this local shop used something other then the normal stuff? it feels stacky and when I use my finger nail and go across it side ways its hard not soft like silicone. I say this because I used silicone the first time around to seal my diy bulkheads, so I have a couple places where the silicon dripped on the back of the tank. Over all I am not to worried the fron and 2 sides look great, I am just woundering if the tank builder did something sneaky. I am planning to buy a second tank from them, but wont if I find issues with this one. $1200 for 7'x2'x25"

we have a type of "super glue" that we also use, it's scotch-weld CA40H that can form pockets like that sometimes but never heard of it staying tacky for months unless it goes bad, it's used for acrylic and rubber that is tacky like that when it gets old, has to stay cold for storage, find out if that's what they used, if so they probably let it get old or hot, and this stuff isn't cheap at all. and for iloveoscars, are the streaks on the outside of the glass?

I would love to get pics, I haven't been able to show anyone my new fish room, even though its ghetto its still my little place. I will call the shop tomorrow and see if they used the product you mentioned. In a total ghetto fix, I just put black back ground on the back of the tank; now I can't see the streaks.

hey, who cares if it's ghetto as long as you like it, hell i have lil 55 gal in my living room that is currently being filtered by a diy filter i made out of a powerhead and some tennis ball cans because my old filter died and this one is working awesome untill i can build me a canister... now thats ghetto, lol. but i would be careful buying another tank from them.
