I'm so sorry, that is horrible. I have done similar things in the past with my 135 gal pump and filters but have never had a problem. I will learn from your mistake though so at least their deaths wont be in vain.

I am a little confused...
You say that you cleaned the filters in a 100g, then looked and seen clear water in a 110g?? Is this the same tank all the fish were in?

Also what in the world were you thinking keeping keeping 42 cichla in a 100/110g?
