Thanks for the kind words... It's really hard to lose a friend like my BIG banjo. I'm still thinking the tank is too empty without it. The scarlet "filled" the tank too, especially when it came to the surface to eat floating pellets. :(

So sorry for your loss, im surprised the pleco died mine got out of my tank and survived for a night under the tank.

Me too... Maybe Murphy (the LAW man) made my filter. I have a couple discus in the same tank and both are still alive. The same applies to my "Recife pleco" female L-238. Oh, well... At least I didn't lose my African butterfly fish and my slow-growing iridescent shark, who is 3+ years old and smaller than 7 inches. Here are the ID shark and the discus... Pic taken after I fixed the problem:
