Guys, this is so sad. I had sold my Argentea to a guy on Craig's list. He had a nice big tank and sounded like he wanted to breed her because he was asking if she had laid eggs before. Anyway, this past weekend my husband and I are at the lfs just window shopping. Lo and behold, there's my Argentea. I know it's her. I recognized the little split in her caudal fin, the slight bend at the top of her dorsal, faint nip marks on her side from the black belt. We go and ask one of the workers if she was a trade in. Yes, someone had just brought her in that week. I felt so bad for her. Here I thought she was going to a good home and I see her by herself in a small tank at the lfs. When I was looking at her she starts doing her little tail wag dance at the glass. Did she recognize me? I was gutted. They wanted $40 for her ( I had sold her for $20). But I have No room for her and I don't want to put her back in the 150 because she and the black belt don't get along. So my hubby and I are looking for a corner tank (hopefully a 75) that we might be able to squeeze into a spot in our living room. We find a perfect tank on craigslist for a great price but it gets sold right away. So the search continues. We can't really afford another tank but I felt so so bad seeing her at the lfs. Anyway, hopefully if she's still there when we find a tank we will get her back and give her her own tank. Or maybe someone will snag her up and give her a good home.
