I decided I no longer wanted to do discus so I gave six to the LFS when in a week later and all were gone except the littlest one. When he saw me he colored right up and ran to the front of the tank. Owner said he had been really black and hiding all the time which is why he didn't get sold. But with me there "that's the best he's looked since you dropped them off". Felt terrible but I have a beasty flower horn in their old tank...

Brutal for sure, but that's the way it goes, especially through CL.

When I sell or give fish away, I always do this through my local fish club on Facebook, to folks that have posted pics of their setups and experience.
