sorta make's me want a parrot now.

Dear God NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! lol It's like having a two year old for the next 20-120 years depending on the parrot. Let me put it this way: I don't regret getting mine, but I will NEVER get another!

dang..i don't like kids too, lol. i'll think it over there really attractive.

O.k., I lied, sometimes I do regret getting him lol. I won't get rid of him though.

XR, They ARE beautiful until one tries to relieve you of one of your digits or an earlobe or a lip or........well, you get the idea. Parrot bites HURT and it's even worse if it's from a bird your bonded too. I tend to take it personally lol and wont speak to my bird for days after a bite. Fortunately after puberty, he stopped biting for the most part. There was a solid year where I though I was going to kill him every day.

Any way, I'll stop hijacking this thread now lol.

A moment of silence for Alex the Grey!

My sun conure was wonderful, but she was very loud. Parrots can be very affectionate and can read what kind of mood you are in. That always impressed me. This story is sad... but parrots are not for everyone.

What about all of the broken jewelry? Mine had an affinity for anything shiny and metal that happen to be on you. I lost many buttons as well... she also liked my teeth and always wanted to look in my mouth when she was young. I spent a lot of time with her. This thread has me thinking about her... RIP Echo.

I'm fortunate that my Senegal couldn't care less about jewelry, but he is obsessed with my mouth, always trying to clean my teeth. Saves on dentist bills lol.
