i forgot to ask are you getting their permission to go over there or are you sneakin over there in the middle of the night with a dip net and just netting them out?

no he come over and watches the killing and their fish breed so they had alot and yea they are clean

guppies are safe feeders IMO if you breed them, because they are tropical fish

technically its a sound food choice. but morally people will become blind/bias and probably flame you. i love my oscar but unlike many normal people i can see through un-needed emotional linking to other oscars that people do "just cause". an oscar is to me as a convict is and any other non-endangered fish. if its nutritious and available. go for it.

I would have another tank to grow out the fry a bit before feeding them to your piranha. Maybe two tanks, one for ready to feed and one for small, growing fry. You could probably get away with leaving small fry with your breeding pair. I would use a 10-20g for them

Guppies are good. Convicts are excellent. Just stay away from the goldfish family.

In my experience guppies are very good feeders. If you got them from the store you should quarantine them for a while but after that you can breed them yourself easily. If your tank is planted or has lots of places for guppies/fry to hide it is even possible for them to have a self sustaining population of feeder fish.
