so wat do i do? im thinking a water change before putting a small bichir in? hopefully. but ima like put a feeder in there see if it survives in like 5 hours. otherwise.........bichir time with photos?

Don't waste your time trying to find a suitable dither testing every fish you can find. Silver dollars will work there better than the Congos and giant danios.

uhh i only have a 60g. and how long wold i wait so i can see if the water is safe for my bichir?
Spotted silver dollars will work fine. Test for ammonia, nitrites and nitrates. If the first two are zero and nitrates no higher than 40, it should be fine otherwise keep monitoring the water parameters. Read this manual.

Looks like rock salt if they use it on there tanks then just check to see how there fish are doing to get your answer

Salt isn't needed in a freshwater tank uless your fish are sick or injured
