safecoating a skull? please help

ive had skulls in my p tanks before, no problems, they were cool as hell but wife didnt like them in there, also had a turtle shell that fell apart, never had any problems with the skull. you could also coat it with bondo, its cheap, $27 bucks a gallon, its a liquid with hardner, find it in automotive section, bondo fiberglass resin
