Acrylic absorbs water.
Lights dry the acrylic on that side.
Acrylic will always warp towards the source of water, and away from the lights if you have them.
If warpage is unacceptable, go with glass.

mine do it too, so I went with lexan plexi. it still does it, but it takes about 3 times longer to do it then before, and I use 1/4 inch... but it's definitely cheaper to go with glass....
