Sailfin Pleco in acrylic tank okay?

i know my rhino plec def eats a decent amount of algea. but i dunno about scratching acrylic tanks. they are pretty hard to find not that expensive if you come across one. and they look awesome but produce lots of poop just somethig to think about and s a little different.
I have already had a few pleco, so the poop deal is no surprise for me. I just want to make sure that there would never be any housing issues after the pleco I want starts getting bigger.
