Sailfin Pleco questions?

What is an ideal price for a 8-9 inch sailfin pleco? I recently bought one for 25 bucks and I wanna know if that was a good deal.

Also, how much food does it require? Right now I give him about 2-3 hikari algae wafers a day. I'm thinking of getting zuccini for it this weekend (how much of that should I give).
 
I just gave a 10" sailfin away. They crap waaaaaaaaaaaay too much.
 
if with other fish it will scraps and always cleaning tank watch belly for over feeding 25 maybe a little high but it also has to do with shape its in
 
2-3 wafers a day is good now but eventually youll be dumping them in along with other foods. $25 might have been a bit high unless its in good shape/has a REALLY nice dorsal.
 
Do you know what type of sailfin you have?

When I bought mine I thought I was purchasing a pterygoplichthys gibbicep because it was listed as a generic sailfin. This guy gets BIG; like 18". After a bit of research I found I had actually got a L001 Pterygoplichthys joselimaianus ; a smaller sailfin that gets around 12". I was happy to have the smaller variety.
