SAL in 200 gallon. Is it ok?

I would say 722 is fine, although as suggested a larger footprint might be more comfortable, maybe something like a 3' wide. I would definately skip the pleco, especially given yr current stock. And how are fire eels records with other bottom dwelling tankmates?

Like other's have said, 7x2x2 is fine, but bigger is better. South American Lungfish are usually peaceful to other fish that don't fit in there mouth or that aren't Lungfish. If your unlucky, you could end up with a mean SAL. ;)

8x4x4???? Anyone here own a SA lung? I put my almost 36" in a 125 for a awhile and it was fine. They're a big eel, very flexible and don't move around very quickly. Here's a couple pics, one in the 125 and 220...

As for tankmates, they're super peaceful.

I agree with Simon... many lungfish don't need much room compared to other monsters.

Mine is in my 150g and it loves it. He is currently 24" and is very active and peaceful. Yours should be fine in your current tank.

awesome. does anyone have one thats under 18'' that they would sell to me? im aiming for under $100. i know, i know, they cost more than that, but sometimes there are deals to be made out there. if anyone has one or info on one then please pm me or email me at charlesncharge24@yahoo.com

snookn has 20 inchers for 100$

Go with a SAL from John (Snookn21). They're at a great price and are wild from Peru (at least mine was). They'll eat pretty much any prepared or pelleted food that you give them, too.

At that size, you'll also be able to determine if it's a male or a female by looking at the hind filaments. If it has little finger-like projections on the filaments, then it's a male; if it lacks those projections, then it's a female.

This is getting off topic but I'm curious how lungfish breed?
