Salmon Pink Birdeating Tarantula.

This guy came to me in a faunarium as a non feeder..very underweight, his abdomen almost bald and extremely docile.
Now he is in a 4 foot tank, has almost all his hair back on his abdomen, eats rat weiners and likes a good game of chase

So after a big tantrum, and plenty of stingy hair..here he is. Excuse the aweful pics..but this guy likes to have a good run and jump at anything moving..and his fangs hurt when he bites

What's it like being bitten by one. How deep do their fangs go? Is it the bite that hurts or the venom?

I was bit on the foot first time round (don't ask..)
Second was on the hand, which was alot worse.
Included a HUGE scream

Other than that it was very red, a strong tingling/stinging sensation and feeling of the bite area being very hot. Almost felt pulsating? Was quite itchy too but no real long lasting effects

Venom hurts worse but the puncture is enough to make you not want to hold them again LOL.
Does go quite deep..but probably not as deep as most would expect.

To put it simply..it did hurttt :'(

u think a tarantula bite is worse then a giant centipede bite?
idk what centipedes ur thinking about... but the ones im talking about if u get bitten by u end up in the hospital for like 3 days :|
