Tarantulas feel really cool when you pick them up! A lot heavier than you think they'd be, plus they're fuzzy.

I like their look . Some are very pretty but risk of getting bit or hair flung at me but ESP getting bit is not for me :WHOA:.

dude i wanna get a tarantula so bad but my mom duznt want me 2 hav 1

Probably be very nutritious for a large arrow..:naughty:

Devder1 - My mum hated tarantulas too..but I bought an exo terra first when I was 13 and showed her that there was no way one could get out and she let me get a slow moving, docile starter T.

Since then she has let me have Cobalt Blues, Skeleton T's, of course this Salmon Pink amongst others. I got careless, and my Cobalt blue got out, (still not sure how) but we never found her. I was honest and told her, I also told her, that it would probably be dead because the room she was in was very dry too. She was okay with this, and next on the list is a King Baboon ;)

Davey - LOL I shall try. I'm getting a snake rack in November, and also getting a spider rack (will have alot more species by then) so I think I will get each one out for a spot of handling and photo ops before they settle into their new homes. Providing they don't get stressed ;)

Jessica, you crack me up! I have two salmon pinks I got when they were half the size of my pinkie fingernail. I used to carry them around in a salt shaker in my purse. They were so tiny, almost transparent. I used to cut the heads off of pinhead crickets to feed them. Sad to say one of them is a male and not looking so great, he's five years old though! You probably know the males are only suppose to live for about 2 years. Like yours was when you rescued it, he's not eating as much now and very thin, he used to be HUGE!! How long have you had yours? Do you know how old it is? Male or female? I will probably give mine to a guy who takes them around schools to teach the kids about spiders and lizards.
