Salmonella Scare? IS WATER OK?

Miles I heard on the news this morning (10/20) that they had started adding chlorine... be careful man don't kill all the plecos I am going to buy!!!

In England all our water companies use chlorine and some chloromine.Problem is they only tell you if they completely change to chlorimine so we have to treat water accordingly.Also when flushing pipes or adding further treatments(such as phosphate to line lead pipes to conform to European standards)they will never tell you.I requested some info on what is in the water and received pages of test data telling concentrations of many chemicals e.g arsenic,cadmium,cyanide,mercury.Scary what is allowed to come from your tap!
