ok and so to just be clear, by following lupins experienced directions i will end up with 3tsp/gal after 36hr? and this level will be ok for my bgk and bichirs

Yes, your interpretation of the formula is correct. i did not do any water changes for the duration of the treatment. I chose to wait out the treatment before a water change. If you do another water change before completion of the treatment, you will have to add more salt. I chose to wait, because I did not want to add further stress until they were healed. Good luck.

thanks and yeah thats what i was planning if i do my wc today like usual and add the salt then the next one wouldnt be scheduled until next sunday but technically i could go 2 weeks without wc if i needed to since they are all still small but i think since the ich hasnt spread to any new fish since the original 2 iv seen it on then one full week of salt should be fine to have it gone but that part of course has to be played by hear (or i guess sight in this case lol)

Glad to hear that my Ghostie will be fine. I only add 1Tsp per 5 gals of water too.
