How do big aquariums like 10,000gal+ do water changes and keep there salinity level? I just don't get it do they have a big reserve of salt water or wht?

No, I mean the inland ones. Like one in texas or georgia hod does they do it?

bags of salt.

Yes but it has to mix for some time before adding

Or big tanker trucks and drive in ocean water. I've at least seen a tanker truck delivering Catalina Island pacific ocean water to local lfs's here in socal.

Hmmm interesting

actually most aquariums are near the ocean to bring in water. one of the founders of mystic aquarium is the guy who made up artificial salt water and there are huge reserves of mixed salt in big tanks.

HMMM so like a big tub is the tub filtered?

They dont nessisarily do waterchanges, if you dont have a reef, the salt content/calcium and most general water parameteres will stay the same with only minor tweaking needed, except ammonia/nitrate/nitrite/phosphorus, which can be removed with good biofiltration/ and chemical filters (or huge algea growth). Suffice to say, water changes technicaly arnt nessisary if things are done correctly (but its extreamly difficult to do in most systems), but will be a disaster if done wrong.
