Salt in a pond

What do you think of adding kosher salt to a pond? Its small, 165gal.

I have used kosher salt and pickling/canning salt; there are no additives at all. Just read the label to be sure your brand has none. I have read that 1 lb of salt for every 100 gallons is adequate. if I am wrong I am sure folks will correct me!!

What kind of fish are in the pond?

couple of koi, & pool fish

just be careful how much you add because if you have live plants and add to much you will dry them out and they will eventually die.

I always add salt to my koi pond in the summer keeps nastys off them i will take it out through water changers as the weather gets cold
