salt to fresh, how to clean saltwater sistem?

i have 75 g tank with overflow and sump, i got enough from saltwater and broke it down, i am going to convert it into cichlid tank, so how should i clean it before i set it up for freshwater tank, make it good enough for fish safe?

White vinegar and some elbow grease.
Rinse it well and you should be good to go.

For the glass surfaces and the not-so-viewable plastic trim pieces I use a somewhat dull razor blade to scrape off calcium and such. I've done this numerous times, never scratched a tank...doesn't mean it isn't possible
