Guys, i have anchor worms in my other tank now. Its on my aro, datnoid, eel and botias. I want to use salt but am not sure how much a datnoid can endure. I know they start scratching more after eating salty foods so is it wise to treath with salt?

Anchor worms are very hard to kill since they have a outer shell that protects them from regular medicines. They must be treated with medicine containint organophosphate. I would recomend Dimlin to treat the fish. Just make sure it really is anchor worms.

datnoids can cope very well with salt, i have even salt bathed a datnoid after it caught an infection after it was wounded and the wound would not heal, it did heal after i did that and a treatment with salt in the tank.

i currently have aprox. 3gr/l in my tank and my little dat doesn't seemed bother by it...

yeah, i thought it was good but had to be sure the dat could take it.
im gonna go to 5 grams/ liter in the coming week. Starting with 1 kilo 2night.

I have a tank ( one off my aro«ps and Nile perch tanks )full with it . Wanted to try salt, was told by my guy that Potassimu permanganate is better...have just finished dosing the tank.

will have to cycle again.....
