also the link above is a good. the only problem when running an algal turf scrubber is that in the event of a crash that scrubber can also release nitrates into the system. ive seen it done with success on very LARGE systems. generally the success rate and effectiveness is negligible on small systems and imho ultimately more trouble than its worth.
